Fall Classes & Workshops
Yoga Calm® is an innovative child education method that reduces
stress, improves self-control, and develops social/emotional
skills. It helps your child develop healthy habits for a lifetime
of wellness and happiness. This class provides children with
a practice and routine that integrates physical, mental and emotional
development, including:

Simple breathing techniques to slow down the nervous system,
develop self-control and connect children with their feelings

Yoga poses to release energy, learn compassion, and develop
strength, concentration and self-confidence

Counseling games and social/emotional processes that develop
patience, mindfullness, compassion, leadership, and other social/emotional
skills

Relaxation techniques and storytelling to calm the body and
mind and integrate physical, emotional and cognitive experiences
Yoga Calm
is especially well suited for children with attention, social
or learning difficulties as a way to develop personal awareness
and specific strategies to maintain focus, and manage emotions
and impulses. Over time Yoga Calm skills and practices develop
greater health, self-mastery and well-being.

Yoga
Therapeutics is an artful blend of Anusara Yoga alignment
principles, restorative yoga and postural re-mapping to engage
the body's innate intelligence and healing ability.
This workshop will reduce muscle tension and imbalances while
strengthening and activating key muscles for optimal hip and
low back health. Then using a series of flowing poses and postural
explorations, participants will learn how to integrate their
new "body wisdom" at work, play and in daily life.
Jim will also cover how to avoid injury during common daily activities.
Open to all levels of yoga students. Excellent for beginners.
